Security Systems for Home

My house recently got broken into by the front door. My front door is a stupid major security flaw. It has 12 little panes of glass with 4 going vertical on each side..they just broke a window near the lock and unlocked it like that…
So I was wondering if the security film works for this type of situation? Does it make it unbreakable or what and where would I buy like a 20 ft roll online?
